Recently, our AMG Pump and Field Technicians were on site in the Midwest region of WA to conduct a remote bore sustainable yield assessment.

Our technicians worked collaboratively to provide a highly satisfactory and successful outcome for another one of our long term clients in the region.

Borehole sustainable yield assessment explained

This borehole sustainable yield assessment project supports our long term client who is interested in knowing the maximum discharge rate at which they can abstract or pump groundwater so they can be assured of continuously getting that yield from their borehole.

This borehole yield is sometimes referred to as sustainable yield, safe yield or reliable yield.

The estimation of borehole sustainable yield is based on the principles of aquifer pumping tests. To estimate borehole sustainable yield, an appropriate aquifer pumping test needs to be conducted and the data should be analysed using appropriate methods that take into consideration the capacity of the aquifer system and groundwater needs among other factors.

The AMG Pump Rental Way

Our AMG field technicians completed the remote installation and commissioning of the pump system, using a 45kW stainless steel submersible bore pump package.

This successful installation and commission allowed our long term client to complete in field sampling and live hydrological assessments with a turn key solution.
