We had the opportunity to provide our truly integrated and trusted approach for one of Perth’s Metro Road Infrastructure, addressing their challenges with our creative and “going above and beyond” solutions. 

Water supply challenges to Perth’s metro road infrastructure 

This particular project faced many challenges, including:

• No sustainable water supply to site (required for construction purposes)
• Located in a high volume traffic areas/public interface, making it even more challenging to provide a water supply station
• The work zone had strict environmental and traditional sensitive protocols to follow
• The overall project required collaboration, communications and coordination with numerous disciplines and specialised contractors
• There were strict  legislative compliance and licencing for water extraction and discharge

AMG Pump Rentals needed to provide water solutions with risk mitigation and safe work methodology in mind. 

The AMG Pump Rentals’ Water Solutions 

AMG was contacted initially to tender on a dry hire scope. However the AMG principle and innovative approach enabled the project’s Engineering and Project Management Consultancy (EPCM) to picture the full project vision of water limitations and capabilities.

This collaborative approach provided all stakeholders with full project transparency in relation to all aspects of water issues and potential issues on site.

AMG provided consultation with initial geotechnical and hydrology investigations – prepared and executed the project dewatering management plan with our environmental partners. 

All done adhering to strict policy and environmental compliance.

Other key deliverables services from AMG Pump Rentals included:

• Design and construction of bore extraction wells, monitoring wells, drilling programs and 72 hour continuous sustainable yield tests
• Throughout the extraction program, water quality was monitored and reported with treatment contingencies in place should quality parameters be exceeded
• A seamless provision of construction water was achieved by means of a fully automated bore pump package, complete with monitoring equipment for leak detection and maintaining sufficient levels in all storage locations. All achieved with an AMG cloud based monitoring and actuator system
• Our on site support throughout the project for training, servicing and maintenance of all specialist equipment provided opportunities to reassess water and pumping requirements – complete system ownership by AMG Pump Rentals
