AMG delivered a complete AZUD automatic disc filtration system for a mine site processing plant — on time, without disrupting operations
Some projects go exactly to plan — others evolve on site. This one was a genuine test of adaptability, both from the team on the ground and our head office support. When last-minute adjustments were needed at the plant interface, AMG moved quickly to accommodate them without any impact to processing or production. That’s how it should work.
The brief was to design, supply, install, and commission a water filtration solution for a critical processing application — delivered on time, within budget, and within strict environmental regulations. Reliability and efficiency were the KPIs. We hit them.
The solution: Azud automatic disc filtration
At the heart of the system is an AZUD automatic disc filter installation, selected for its performance in demanding processing environments. “This system utilises AZUD automatic disc filters with air-assisted backwash, designed to reduce backwash water usage and improve overall filtration efficiency. A great solution for processing applications where water conservation is important.”
The air-assisted backwash mechanism means the system is completely self-cleaning — using significantly less water than conventional approaches. A practical win for both operating costs and environmental compliance.
What AMG delivered
AMG were involved from the very start — working through system design and piping infrastructure before a single component arrived on site. That upfront investment in planning made a real difference when it came time to install.

What comes next
The success of this project has opened a new conversation. The client has now tasked AMG’s Innovation division with solving a long-standing, recurring operational issue — one that’s been difficult to resolve and is operationally critical.
We’re working through a structured process: initial consultation, solution modelling, performance testing, and then a full installation designed to resolve the issue for good. Built into the business case is a cost forecast showing the investment paying for itself over time through ongoing operational savings.

Wind Fence: engineered barriers that reduce wind velocity across stockpiles and open yards, cutting dust lift-off and improving the performance of other controls.
